The beauty of it. To be absorbed so much by another that you see through their eyes. They consume you almost entirely and the love their heart beats sends ripples through them like a stone cast across a wave. You’ll never know that now. In fact, you’ve never known that. The sadness in your eyes tells me your life story and it’s a life lived alone.
I’ve waited for this moment for a long time. Everything ends and when it does, it takes all you are and ever were with it. It’s like glass. Everything is clear until one thing hits you. That one thing you didn’t see coming that shatters you and all those remaining fragments are your memories, which gradually crumble away.
